The Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK) is a representative organization that was formed to enable Pharmacists’ employ their professional expertise in the care of patients.
Established in 1964, PSK has its roots in the Pharmaceutical Society of East Africa, which was registered in 1950. Since its formation, PSK continues to promote a common standard for professional conduct and code of ethics for its members, as well as advocate the welfare Pharmacists.

The Surgical Society of Kenya (SSK) was formed in the early 1980s to champion the welfare of surgeons in the country. It was officially registered in 1989 and has a current membership of 300 surgeons throughout the country. Associate members include Residents, medical students and theatre nurses.
The Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society has been in existence since 1974 and has grown to a current membership of more than 300 specialists and professionals, with five branches in Mombasa, Eldoret, Nakuru, Nyeri and Western. Over the years KOGS has made great strides in the advocacy for the advancement of women’s reproductive health and rights by working with the government and other stakeholders in policy formulation and implementation; promotion of maternal and neonatal health in the country; providing an avenue for information sharing on best and current Obs/Gyn practices through periodical publication of the JOGECA just to mention a few.
